Only so much frosting can cover a bad cake.

As a design agency this may surprise you to hear me say but, great design & social media won't help you if you don't have a great product or relationship with your customers. On the flip side, poor design or social media can absolutely detract from your great product or service and actually hinder your growth.

Why am I dedicating a post to this? As a designer, I could be selling you that all you need is to hire us to create a bold, cool brand and you'll be set. Or that our new website for you will be the magic cure that fixes everything. But then I'm doing us both a disservice. Great design, great advertising, great brands, are only great because they've invested in their product, their relationship with customers, and understand branding encompasses their entire business.

As I've mentioned before, great branding is more than just colors, fonts, and logos. It's the events you organize or sponsor, the partnerships you build, your store or popup, your best practices, your sustainability pledge, your donation efforts, your customer service, how you respond to messages & emails, your return policy, and yes, your logo, color palate, and visual assets.

So, picture this: your brand is like a cake. Your product and customer relationships are the cake itself. The buttercream layers, the moist and soft texture, the heavenly addition of fresh fruit. Creating a delicious cake takes time, experimentation, attention to detail, and more. What you put in is what you get out. Design is simply the frosting and without every other part of brand building, a bad or forgettable cake with great frosting, is still a bad cake.

My job is to learn what makes your cake special. Why should people love it? Who is going to love it? And then we create the frosting and decorations that makes your cake undeniable to your customers.

It's not a perfect analogy, but you get the point. Now let's get to baking, because yes, we can help you with your full brand strategy.
